We met Ting Feng today when we were visiting Dinghu Mountain Resort. It was a very beautiful nature preserve with lots of beautiful trees, streams and waterfalls and a cave that had 100 Buddha statues in it. It was hot day, well over 90 degrees and the cave was so cool and damp.
There was water dripping down the cave walls and from the ceiling. I caught some in my hand and drizzled it onto my pinky toe. Later when we walked back outside, we saw a sign beside a little stream saying something about the purity of the water and its ions being somehow special.

Vincent, I want to tell you more about my great great uncle. His name was Hippolyte and he had a disagreement with his brother. Hippolyte said that people were good and kind and helped each other. His brother did not agree. His brother believed that people were selfish and didn’t care about helping other people. Hippolyte told his brother, ” I will prove that I am right and you are wrong. I will walk around the world without money and people will help me and feed me. People are kind and good and will take care of me.” Hippolyte walked from Western USA to Dali. People took care of him and gave him food. 93 years later, what he said to his brother is still true. People are good. You took very good care of me. I will never forget that.
